yeah, I'm so scared that my graphics card is frying! How am I going to game now? I sent it in for overheating when my gpu was running 65-70 C and my cpu's were both running at about 65. Then they send it back like this? what the heck? They did go out of their way to leave a screenshot of their heat tests that say its fine on my desktop though. They also left proof that they decided to look through my documents and pictures. Isn't that creepy?
O_O Creepy is right, first of all. And secondly, that's odd, their heat tests say it's fine, but it's obvious it's running hot. Yeah, you've got to find somewhere to send it in [NOT the Geek Squad] that can ACTUALLY look at it better. Even my friend, who is a computer GURU, might be able to help it. Still, that's just dangerous.
well you see, its under hp warranty that it's being repaired. I would never send it to the squeek gods. I'm not exactly a computer noob though. I can and have built my own desktops. It's just that lappys are a beast of a different design.
Oh no, I never said buy a computer from Best Buy or anything, and, my Dell laptop is under warranty as well, I just don't want to send it in and not see it for another month. None the less, yes, laptops are a helluva different breed when it comes to opening them up and fixing them.
well hp is really good. they usually have my laptop back to me in about a week. I believe I only have to send it in this one more time and then they will replace it. My last laptop I had to send in to hp 5 times, and then they just replaced it. HP repair kinda sucks.
I see! Yeah, thing is, there's nothing really WRONG with my laptop, it's just cosmetic, but, I don't trust Dell to have it back to me that quickly... and I NEED my laptop.
don't trust dell for anything. my first lappy was a dell, I called them one day because my screen randomly quit working they told me to remove the drivers for a bunch of crap, only problem was, how was I supposed to do that without the screen working as I was away at school. So I sent it in. They kept it for 3 1/2 months. then 2 weeks after my warranty ended they sent it back to me saying I was out of warranty. I was young, busy and away at school, I needed my laptop and they failed me miserably.
Yeah, I'm not surprised. The only reason I have this craptop at all [yes, that was not a misspelling] is because it was through my school, and my parents promised to buy me a new computer after dismantling my old one one day when they were angry. Since then, I've purchased two desktops ON MY OWN, which have turned out much better. Though, I still want a new, BETTER laptop.

My lappy is broken as well, but still works... cosmetic damage. Meh. And, whew, have fun with that temp. :P
